Quiver Distribution has picked up Uwe Boll’s crime drama “First Shift” for the U.S., Canada and selected international territories.
The pic, which stars Kristen Renton (“Sons of Anarchy”) and Gino Anthony Pesi (“Shades of Blue”) as two mismatched New York City cops forced to work as partners, has also sold in Eastern Europe, Benelux, the Commonwealth of Independent States, Turkey and the Baltics.
Intertwining elements of “a classic road movie with the raw intensity of a police drama,” the film follows the detectives on a brutal trip through the bustling streets of New York City and into the depths of their own reality and soul.

“We are incredibly excited to be teaming up with Uwe Boll once again,” said Quiver Distribution co-presidents Berry Meyerowitz and Jeff Sackman. “‘First Shift’ is a thrilling crime drama that shows the realities of life as a cop in New York City, and features terrific performances from leads Gino Anthony Pesi and Kristen Renton.”
Added Boll: “I’m thrilled to join forces with Quiver Distribution to bring ‘First Shift’ to audiences in North America. Their passion for the film and expertise in distribution is truly impressive. … Together with Quiver, we’re set to take audiences on an unforgettable cinematic journey.”
Larry Greenberg negotiated the deal on behalf of Quiver Distribution with Boll, who wrote, directed and produced the film alongside executive producer Michael Roesch.
Set for release in September 2024, “First Shift” is sold internationally by Kinostar, which is presenting the film at AFM.
Boll’s credits include the award-winning “Attack on Darfur” and the “Rampage” and “In the Name of the King” trilogies.
