Top Northern APC Politician Accused Of Wishing Buhari Dead

Omokri identified the politician as Sulaiman Adamu, adding that the APC chieftain is frustrated like many other Nigerians, and he and his allies were heard in the audio lamenting the hardship and insecurity in the north.

Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri has alleged that a top Northern politician who is also a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) wished death for President Muhammadu Buhari in a leaked audio.

Omokri identified the politician as Sulaiman Adamu, adding that the APC chieftain is frustrated like many other Nigerians, and he and his allies were heard in the audio lamenting the hardship and insecurity in the north.

Though Omokri noted that he doesn’t wish death for Buhari, there is truth in what Adamu said about the President plunging Nigerians into hardship.

The former presidential media aide also warned the Department of State Services (DSS) against arresting Adamu for what he said against President Buhari as he only exercised his freedom of speech.

Though Naija News is unable to independently verify the claim by Omokri, below is what he wrote in the post.

“The leaked audio of the Northern APC chieftain, Sulaiman Adamu, has shattered the myth that General Buhari remains popular in the North. It is a very sad audio to listen to. Mr Adamu and his friends lamented how the North has gained nothing from Buhari. But did they lie?

“Although I do not wish Buhari dead like Sulaiman did in his leaked audio, the scandal just shows Nigeria is tired of the pestilence called Buhari! Especially when you consider that Sulaiman is Fulani, like Buhari, and spoke in Fulfulde.

“Even in Buhari’s Government, he is a laughing stock. Two years ago, I released #AmaechiTapes, were Rotimi Amaechi showed his contempt for Buhari, who he said: “does not read”. Even his wife, Aisha, has negative things to say about the problematic fellow.

“I warn the Department of State Security not to attempt arresting Sulaiman Adamu. He only exercised his freedom of speech”.

Meanwhile, the National Legal Adviser of the Peoples Democratic Party, Mr Emmanuel Enoidem has told members of the party’s National Working Committee that they have no power to remove Prince Uche Secondus as the PDP National Chairman.

According to Enoidem, no national officer is empowered to remove Secondus from office.

He added in a statement on Monday that the power to remove Secondus as the party’s national chairman resides only in the party’s national convention as contained in its constitution.

He said this in reaction to a communique purportedly issued by nine members of the NWC of the party, after a meeting held in Abuja on Sunday night.
