A stalwart of the Labour Party (LP), Babatunde Gbadamosi has berated the Governor of Anambra state, Charles Soludo over his comment on the investment made by the LP flag bearer, Peter Obi, during his time as governor.
Naija News recalls Soludo had stated that the investment done by Obi is now worth next to nothing.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) made the disclosure on Thursday during an appearance on Politics Today, a political programme on Channels Television.
He said: “I don’t know about the investment. I’m not talking about the investments of any of my predecessors. By the way, the one that you talked about I don’t know about that. I think there was something I read about somebody speculating about whatever investment. With what I’ve seen today, the value of those investments is worth next to nothing. So, let’s leave that aside.”
Reacting to Soludo’s claims, Gbadamosi opined that the governor has shown a dark side in his character and is driven by his own presidential ambition.
Sharing his thoughts via Twitter, he wrote, “I am beyond disgusted with Soludo ignoring Obiano & blaming Obi for the failure of investments he handed over to Obiano. He showed a dark side of himself today that I think is driven by his own Presidential ambition. He wants to stop any Igbo man from getting it before himself.”
