Highway spills can become pretty terrifying. Who wouldn't be terrified when a tractor trailer opens up in front of you, spilling a ton of liquid or garbage? Or Halloween decorations. I wouldn't want to be having an emotional crisis one day only to have a shipment of spooky skeletons getting dumped on my windshield. Sure, it'd be hilarious, until I crash my car into the median and start spinning out like a crash test dummy, except I'm made out of flesh and not meant to explode everywhere.

That initial scariness aside, however, sometimes highway spills can work out in your favor. Like if a bunch of gold bullion or cash started pouring out and your sunroof just happened to be open. Well maybe not the bullion because it's kind of destroy your car. But you could always just pay for repairs with the solid gold.

But what if the truck driving ahead of you was carrying a ton of pizzas?

That's exactly what happened on Arkansas Highway I-30 when the top of a truck's trailer hit the bottom of an overpass, causing the trailer to release a bunch of frozen pizzas.

Boss at work today: "There's a truck accident on I-30 at baseline and I need you to go check it out. There's free pizza"
Me: uh pizza? pic.twitter.com/zVd65FyH5i

But as it turns out, unfortunately, the pizzas were inedible.

For those asking. The pizzas have been run over and many have diesel fluid on them, so there won't be pizza for dinner for any of us.

I know, huge bummer, but there has to be a couple in the packages that were fine to eat. You know, wash a bit of the fuel off of those bad boys and you're good to go.

And it turned out that getting them off the road was more difficult than they had anticipated.

The pizzas are actually really slick. @myARDOT is using front loaders to get pizza off road, but it may take pressure washer.

It's not delivery, it's (1,000) DiGiourno! Crews scoop up pepperoni pies plastered on I-30 #ARNews pic.twitter.com/2SV9JdLqg1

People stuck in the traffic jam couldn't even really be all that upset at the delays.

This pizza traffic🤦🏾‍♂️

We may be going 5 mph on I 30 but a frozen pizza spill is just funny enough that I don't care

Other photos showed just how spread out the pizza disaster was.

Thankfully, no structural damage was done to the bridge.
