A Jos based trader, Mohammed Rabiu, and a housewife, Asabe Mati have been remanded in prison by An Upper Area Court in Jos,Plateau, on one count of adultery.
The judge, Malam Mustapha Hassan denied the two bail and ordered them to get legal representation for theirselves.
The case prosecutor, Mr Gokwat Ibrahim, said the two where guilty of the offence and further revealed that the two were caught red handed in the act by a vigilante group.
The two where alleged to have met at Sabon Layi area of Jos by 8.00 pm on April 20, A good samaritan had informed the vigilante group about them after calling the trying to get her husband and later knowing the husband had travelled out of Jos.
The vigilante group then arrested them both and handed them over to the police.
The accused, are facing nothing less than two years behind bars if found guilty with an option of fine, Both plead not guilty saying it was all a set up.
