A Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) employee was saved from the jaws of imminent death after he got electrocuted in Webuye, Bungoma county.
The unidentified electrician who was on field assignment had climbed up the electricity pole when the unfortunate incident happened on Tuesday, July 6.
It took the intervention of a male area resident to rescue the KPLC staff from sustaining more potentially fatal injuries.
A crowd that milled around the pole looked hapless as the man risked it all to save the victim after the power mishap.

Another Kenya Power technician could be seen following the "saviour". Together, they tied the unconscious victim using a rope as the crowd pulled him down before being driven to the hospital for an emergency check-up.
Kameji Secondary School incident
Barely three months ago, a man was electrocuted after illegally trying to reconnect electricity to Kameji Secondary School located in Migori county.
The institution's principal was said to have sought the services of the deceased after Kenya Power disconnected power to the school over a huge unpaid electricity bill.
However, in the Monday, May 24 incident, the man identified as Felix Odoyo was electrocuted in the process, and his lifeless body got stuck on the pole, according to images seen by TUKO.co.ke.

According to the family's 'spokesman' Charles Odhiambo, their kin did not have papers or anything to show that he had technical know-how in handling electricity, faulting the principal for his untimely death.
"Once the KPLC and police are done with their part, we as the family will also demand answers from the school administration because the boy does not have any papers.
