Actor Pete Edochie's lookalike spotted in Port Harcourt

There is such a thing as doppelgangers and legendary Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie, might just have one.

A certain Kingsley Abasili who hails from Port Harcourt has gotten a lot of attention on social media for looking a lot like Pete Edochie. Abasili who looks like the younger version of the actor is being tagged the doppelganger of the actor and many agree that the resemblance is uncanny.

Not much is known about the young man who can easily be mistaken to be the child of the veteran actor. However, Pete, had made a name for himself in Nollywood. The 71-year-old actor has been gracing TV screens since 1987 being one of the actors in the popular TV series titled Things Fall Apart.

The lifespan of his career is one of the longest in the Nollywood industry and he has appeared in over 200 movies. Just recently, he played an important role in beautiful actress, Genevieve Nnaji's new movie, Lion Heart.

Edochie is considered one of Africa’s most talented actors and has cupped many awards in this regard. Edochie descends from the Igbo land in Nigeria and is a Catholic.

In 2003, he was honoured as a Member of the Order of the Niger by President Olusegun Obasanjo.

Meanwhile, son of veteran Nollywood actor Yul Edochie has taken to his Twitter handle to reveal he is no longer on the political train of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) party. On Monday, December 17, Edochie took to Twitter to announce his support for PDP’s presidential candidate.
